Kelly Yap may be the youngest member of the team but he has already accumulated substantial experience over the years having specialised in shipping and admiralty law since he was called to the Bar in 2000.

He has been involved in several notable shipping cases which have gone to trial in the High Court. Some of these cases have also gone all the way to the Court of Appeal.

Kelly's practice includes cargo claims, bunker disputes, P&I work, marine insurance, international trade, air transport claims, letter of credit disputes, freight forwarding disputes and ship chandler claims. He attends to an increasing clientele of traders who instruct him to handle all manner of disputes including quality, shortage and cargo damage claims as well as contractual disputes.

Kelly's strengths lie in providing friendly, efficient and practical service and advice to clients. He is also known for his tenacious and aggressive spirit that he demonstrates in litigation matters.
